My girlfriend and I went for lunch, we both had fish and chips and a soft drink in a can. We were pleasantly surprised that we only got charged $1.35 per can for the soda because most other restaurants that sell cans get two or three dollars for them. The fries were hot when they arrived and didn't have any fishy flavor, in fact, the fish didn't really have a fishy flavor so everything was quite good and fresh. We were very happy with our meal and would recommend this place. The seats are a little tattered and have been duct taped, but the place was clean and the food was good, so don't go for the atmosphere, go for the food!

I have eaten at many other Tug Boats before and I must say this is my favorite one of them all. There's something about this place that makes the fish tastes so good. We had the 1 fish and prawn (4 prawns) for 13.99 and added an extra fish for 4.00. Side order of fried Oysters (3) for 5.99, bottle water and a can of Pepsi (fountain drink machine not working) all came out to be under 30.00. The fish and prawns and the fries were not greasy at all. Everything is cooked to order. Although this place is not close to where we live i would gladly drive the 30minutes to get here. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays...we made that mistake and was very sad that we couldn't enjoy having fish and chips.

Food was amazing!!!! Very good flavor in the meat and batter; hush puppies and onion rings were delicious and fresh. Tartar sauce was really good too- tastes homemade.

We stopped into Tugboat today for some quick fish and chips. It was a lot bigger inside than I thought it would be, with booths lining the side with windows. Originally it was the painted windows that caught my eye and we're always excited to try a new spot. When I walked in I was greeted right away and I ordered the two fish-fish and chips ($11.99) and some lumpia ($9.99). I snapped some photos as I waited and it was out within five to ten minutes and it was HOT and FRESH! When I got to the car we immediately wanted to try a bite and it was seriously so fresh and hot. After that first bite we decided to let it cool down and all of it was delicious. We'll definitely be stopping by again to try more of the options from the menu, but the fish and chips and lumpia are worth getting again.

We came here late and almost their closing time. Lol we did that last time too. I get gas at Sam's or Costco so on the way home from our saccharine over load (Cerealism event) we were still hungry. This was not our first choice. Initially we went to and going to eat at a Vietnamese/ Chinese restaurant. (I won't name the restaurant). We waited there only to have them skip us by giving the table that is ready to the ppl behind us so we left. I went to get gas and remembered that we did the same thing early this year. The owner and a manager was the last one the first time. He was closing but took our orders anyway. This time he still have his crew , 3 ladies that were getting ready to go home. They didn't have a closing info on Yelp or anywhere so we assume 9pm, they actually closed at 8:30 and we barely got there. We got our order to go. I guess in a rush they forgot to put salt on the fries. Fish was good though.

Delicious fish & chips! We were filling up our tank at Costco gas when I called around 7:20p to confirm what time they closed. We were told 8:00p. We got done with gas about 10 mins after and headed straight to the restaurant, which was in the same area. The door was unlocked but lights were dimmed. We made our way inside until we saw someone (presumably the owner), he was by himself. He said they were closed even after he confirmed over the phone that he closed at 8:00p. Why the 5-Stars. We left and just as we were about to get inside our car the owner came running out and said he can take our order as long as it's takeout. We gladly said yes and made our way back inside the restaurant. He took our order... 3-piece fish & chips and he proceeded to go to the kitchen. It looked like he has already shut down the kitchen for the evening but he fired it up again to get our order out. We appreciated. It was 8:00p and we just ate inside our car. It was a bit of a challenge but we made it work and no mess LoL! The fish & chips were delicious! Yummy crispy batter and he gave us 2 extra pieces... a total of 5-pieces of cod fish that my hubby and I shared. I love Tugboat's Fish & Chips. The Tugboat closer to our home (#8), closed shop permanently. I'm glad the owner obliged. I was craving! Review #2682

First time here. We ordered 2 dinners to go. My GF ordered a 2 piece fish & chips and I ordered the fish & chips combo with 1 piece of fish and 3 oysters. The fish was crispy and tasty. The oysters were good too. The fries could have been crispier and less limp. They also didn't give us any malt vinegar to go and we didn't discover it until we got home, hence the 4 stars.
